Shea Butter in the Mix – Beware
Shea Butter in the Mix – Beware!
It has not been until recently that you see companies advertising their products with added Shea Butter. Companies are now using the benefits of Shea Butter to increase their profits, which is a great idea because everyone likes a good product with great benefits.
I have used this pure Butter for years and so when I saw that companies were advertising their lotions & hair products with now having added this rich butter, I initially thought it was just terrific. Well, after reading the ingredients label on the back of these items I realized that there did not seem to be enough Shea Butter in the mix to actually receive the natural benefits of it.
When you are in the lotion or hair isle at the drugstore or your local food market and you pick up an item that now has Shea Butter in it, look at the ingredients label in the back. You will see that Shea Butter or also known as butyrospermum parkii will be added just like the front of the label as stated, but not before the water, glycerin, all kinds of alcohols and many other ingredients that don’t sound so natural. Well, now we are suppose to rub this stuff on in hopes that it gives us good results and satisfy our skins needs.
I believe that natural products are the way to go. What we put on our skin and our childrens skin should not be harmful if swallowed. Try shopping at stores that sell natural products or ingredients if you are looking to receive the benefits of using natural products.
